What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain has been developed by the Learning & Skills Council as a service that can help businesses access the training they need to succeed
Train to Gain offers advice and will match business needs with local training providers. Train to Gain is flexible, responsive and is offered at a time and place to suit you and your business.
Train to Gain is funded by the government through your local Learning & Skills Council (LSC). The LSC are responsible for the planning and funding of vocational training and qualifications to ensure training needs are met effectively for both employees and employers.
Train to Gain aims to help many more adults achieve their first level 2 qualification, and where necessary, improve their numeracy and literacy skills.
Train to Gain helps businesses by using Skills Brokers who can offer free advice to employers, assist in identifying the training needs of the employees, assist in identifying suitable, quality training providers, assist in the development of a training delivery plan. Qualifications funded under Train to Gain include NVQ’s and other full level 2 qualifications.
