The Security Practitioner programme, is the ideal development path for security officers, it allows you to evaluate

the skills and knowledge of your security officers without disrupting their normal working routines. This

programme also attracts generous funding from the LSC and Skills for Security have secured a simple

method for small and medium sized companies to not only access this funding easily, but also help with

the administration process involved. 

 

The aim of the Security Practitioner programme is to provide a learning programme and full level 2

vocational qualifications of 325 guided learning hours for Security Officers, who would be recognised as valued

and competent employees.  The Security Practitioner programme encourages flexible methods of learning,

gaining experience and assessing achievement. It builds on the best aspects of the NVQ system, whilst

providing an equally robust but flexible method of assessment.
