Labour Market Research Project

After completing the Labour Market Research Project, Skills for Security are now in the process of completing

phases one to three of a SSDA funded Sector Skills Agreement. This project will identify current and

future skills needs for the industry, assess the extent and quality of current provision and scope the gaps

between skills needs and supply to form the basis for agreeing priority areas for action with employers and partners.

Sector employer participation will prove fundamental to highlighting factors inhibiting skills development

and for identifying how best to improve the quality and relevance of the industry’s learning supply.

The Sector Skills Agreement will prove invaluable for informing the development of the Sector Qualifications

Strategy - an overarching UK wide strategy which seeks to make accurate responses to sector specific needs

and requirements.
