National Occupational Standards and Security Qualifications

National Occupational Standards for the security industry

National Occupational Standards (NOS) are used by Awarding Bodies to design qualifications, but they are also an invaluable resource for anyone who wants to design a training programme, assess the skills of their workforce, write job descriptions and job advertisements or undertake staff appraisals, because they give you an accurate benchmark to work with.

For further information on National Occupational Standards and to comment on the current draft NOS out for consultation, please click here.

Security Qualifications

There is a wide range of security qualifications available (this document is currently being revised). For further information about any particular security qualification please contact the relevant Awarding Body (City & Guilds, Edexcel; EDI; NOCN; NCFE etc) or contact our Customer Services team via info@skillsforsecurity.org.uk
