The importance of effective screening within the security business sector is paramount. It is a fundamental requirement for those wishing to comply with BS7858 and other industry codes of practice, to operate a stringent pre-employment vetting system. Skills for Security offers the Vetting Skills programme for both administrators and trainers who wish to train administrators. Trainers must hold a minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (e.g the City & Guilds 7303)

• Trainers wishing to deliver the programme in-house (must hold minimum Level 3 training qualification)

What does the programme cover?

This one day Skills for Security certificated programme, covers all areas related to the sensitive and critical area of security screening. Topics include:

• Collecting data for screening the prospective employee
• Procedures relating to screening
• Necessary documentation
• The statutory declaration
• Legislation affecting the process

Asessment method: formative "question & answer" assessment will be carried out throughout the course.
