Who is the First Aid Trainer course designed for?
The course covers the theory and techniques to ensure effective delivery of First Aid courses.
The programme is designed for trainers who wish to deliver:
- First Aid at Work course
- First Aid at Work Requalification course
- Emergency First Aid at Work course
- Defibrillation course
but do not want to go through a complicated and costly process of HSE registration.
What are the benefits of the programme?
Completion of the course will enable trainers to apply for centre approval through an HSE-certified First Aid organization. The approved First Aid centre will be then delivering the courses as a satellite.
It is a simple and cost-effective solution for potential First Aid trainers: you deliver the training - we do the rest!
Trainers will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to help them to deliver in-company and public First Aid courses. Successful delegates will leave the course with the paperwork and teaching materials required to deliver the training.
If you have joined the Security Institute Continuing Professional Development scheme, successful completion of this course will give you 5 points towards your structured CPD. For more information about the scheme, which is open to members and non-members, please click here.
Pre-entry requirements:
- Level 3 teaching qualifications, eg. City and Guilds 7303 PTLLS
- First Aid at Work certificate, which is valid for at least 3 months
