With mandatory examinations supporting the Licence to Practise qualifications, endorsed by the SIA, comes the requirement for companies to ensure the robustness and integrity of their own internal examination processes. This programme has been designed to provide Level 3 qualified trainers with the knowledge to both invigilate their own examinations and deliver training in the invigilation process for Skills for Security/City & Guilds and NOCN qualifications.
Who is the programme designed for?
The programme is targeted at administrators who wish to invigilate and trainers who want to deliver training in the invigilation process.
What does the programme cover?
This one day programme includes:
- Room approval
- Pre-exam administration
- Conducting the examination
- Post examination administration
What are the benefits of the programme?
Successful delegates will receive a Skills for Security approved Examination Management certificate with their invigilator number, which will enable them to go on to invigilate their own examinations, confident in the knowledge that they are following the requirements of the Awarding Organisation. A CD-ROM will be provided to trainer delegates containing materials for delivering their own courses and the certification process, plus a Skills for Security approved Trainer Certificate for Examination Management. In addition, the provider's company logo and trainer name can be added to the certificate design - please contact Customer Service for further information.
If you have joined the Security Institute Continuing Professional Development scheme, successful completion of this course will give you 4 points towards your structured CPD. For more information about the scheme, which is open to members and non-members, please click here.
Please note From 1st February 2010 the SIA has stipulated that when trainers are teaching for licensing purposes they may no longer invigilate when their trainees are taking licence-linked examinations. Training centres will need to ensure they have an independent invigilator available, someone who has no interest in any of the candidates passing the qualification.
