To further enhance training provision, Skills for Security have accredited programmes that have been developed by other organisations but have met our quality standards and can therefore display the 'Skills for Security approved' logo. The following organisations offer Close Protection courses that have been accredited by Skills for Security.
In order to work in close protection in the UK, close protection officers must have attended an accredited SIA close protection course, hold a valid Health & Safety Executive first aid certificate and passed a criminal background check.
SIA Licence Close Protection (CP) Course (3.5 Weeks)
Anubis is a high-quality approved training provider for the Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) to deliver Security Industry Authority (SIA) Level 3 Close Protection licence to practice qualifications. This course lasts approximately 3 and a half weeks and commences with a 4 day First Aid at Work course, and then follows into the law surrounding CP in the UK and getting to grips with the many different roles and responsibilities that a Close Protection Operative has.
