Introduction to Leadership and Management

 

This interesting workshop is designed to develop or refresh the skills necessary for effective people management. Ability to lead people is a crucial element of every successful business model. However, it involves years of learning, development and experience, which junior and middle managers are often not equipped with.

Having identified a gap, Skills for Security has developeda course to help existing and prospective team leaders increase their knowledge and skills in a leadership role.

Delegates attending this course will learn how to be a confident team leader and how to apply the necessary team leader skills to improve productivity within the workplace.

 

What does the programme cover?

The course covers the following modules, during which the delegates are guided through a range of skill-developing exercises.

-   Problem solving

-   Managing performance

-   How to achieve goals through motivation 

 

Assessment is made throughout the course, via the trainer's observation of the delegate's participation in tasks and exercises.
