How does it work?

For providers to gain accreditation for their training materials/products they will have to satisfy Skills for Security Ltd that:

  • The training materials/products is accurate and complete in terms of technical content and quality of presentation.   Where appropriate, providers must identify the national and/or industry occupational standards (if applicable) which support the training materials/products for which they seek accreditation. National Occupational Standards accreditation can be accessed via the following website: http://www.ukstandards.org.uk/
  • They have the means, both financially and educationally, to carry out an annual review of the training materials/products to ensure that industry needs are still met and content is both relevant and up to date with current legislation
  • They have knowledgeable staff in place to deal with queries about the content of the training materials/products, from and on behalf of Skills for Security.

 

Why should I accredit my product?

  • A recognised symbol of quality in the security industry
  • You can mark the accredited product(s) as Skills for Security Accredited. Literature and other marketing aides relating to the product(s) may also bear the Skills for Security Accredited logo issued by Skills for Security.

 

Valuable marketing opportunities

  • Details of the training materials/products and the provider will be made available on the Skills for Security website in an area which shows all accredited training materials/products
  • Details of the training materials/products and the provider will be listed in an edition of Skills Insight, Skills for Security's magazine
  • Details of the training materials/products will be included in two e-bulletins issued by Skills for Security (dates to be agreed)
    Promotional material supplied by the provider will be displayed in the Sorensen Centre
  • Skills for Security's Customer Service team will promote the training materials/products to interested parties and deal with any orders received
  • Skills for Security will keep a small stock of your promotional material relating to the accredited training materials/products to forward to interested parties. This material to be supplied by the provider.

 

How much will this cost?

  • The initial accreditation is £250.00 plus vat (fee is refunded if rejected) Skills for Security will pay the provider
  • 75% of the sale price for each item sold by Skills for Security and retain 25% of the income to cover marketing, storage, despatch and administration.
