This two-day course has been designed to provide comprehensive training, at all levels in security surveying and risk analysis of new and existing assignments, to Area/Regional Managers, Sales and Marketing Managers and Security Consultants who will play an active role in the negotiating and agreeing of security contracts.

Who is the programme for?

This programme has been designed for in-house security managers, assignment managers, area/regional managers, sales and marketing managers and security consultants. There are no entry requirements for this course, although delegates should have an in-depth knowledge of general security practices. Delegates are advised to spend time working with managers experienced in the field of security surveying, prior to attending the programme.

What does the programme cover?

This two day programme covers the theory behind risk assessment and the surveying of a site, including the following topics:

  • Recognising the value and purpose of surveys
  • Areas of risk to be investigated
  • Providing workable answers to identified risks

Delegates will be given exercises throughout the course and will compile a report outlining findings and proposals. Delegates will then be required to produce a comprehensive set of assignment instructions. Both of these will be assessed by the programme tutor, to determine the delegate's competence to perform such a role in line with BS7499.

What are the benefits of the programme?

Delegates will gain in-depth knowledge of the need for surveys, risk management and how to carry out surveys and compile a survey report.
