Who is the programme designed for?
The programme is designed to provide a formal qualification for those new to teaching and training or those wishing to qualify to teach or train. This qualification also meets the minimum level of entry to deliver the qualification linked to the SIA Licence to Practise.
What does the programme cover?
This four day programme, together with home study, is designed to equip a wide range of teachers/trainers/tutors and facilitators with the skills to deliver learning.
The programme covers:
- The role, responsibilities and boundaries of your role in relation to teaching
- Appropriate teaching and learning approaches in your specialist area
- Demonstration of session planning Skills for Security How to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners
- The use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping
Self-directed learning with email tutor support will be provided, at the end of which delegates will submit a portfolio for assessment.
What are the benefits of the programme?
Successful delegates will develop their communication and interpersonal skills and be awarded the City & Guilds 7303 - Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
