The Health & Safety at Work Act states that employees must have adequate first aid cover for the safety of their employees and visitors to their premises.

Who is the programme designed for?

This programme, offered in conjunction with Training and Management Services (TMS) is designed to teach training personnel first aid training techniques enabling them to deliver in company and/or public programmes. Delegates must hold a minimum Level 3 teaching qualification (e.g the City & Guilds 7303 or equivalent) and a current First Aid at work certificate (which is valid for at least three months).

What does the programme cover?


This one day programme includes:

  • Introduction to the training material
  • Practical demonstrations and practice
  • Lectures
  • Assessment

 

What are the benefits of the programme?


Successful delegates will be able to deliver HSE Approved First Aid at Work and Appointed Persons Course (subject to continued registration).

Once trained, you will be able to apply for centre approval to deliver the course outlined above, within the rules and regulations in force at the time. Information regarding registration and certification of delegates attending an approved centre training course will be provided on a CD-ROM, issued to delegates attending the programme.
