The work of the team at Security House on Barbourne Road was recognised at a prestigious event in London recently when Worcester based Skills for Security, the skills and standards setting body, was presented with a national award for "Building the Future" of the UK security industry.

The award, presented at the British Security Industry Association annual lunch at the Park Lane Hilton, recognises the contribution that Skills for Security is making to the development of those who work in security, by improving the availability of quality training and formal qualifications.

Skills for Security trains security trainers and offers access to a variety of development programmes ranging from drugs awareness to surveillance techniques, and qualifications from entry to degree level.

Collecting the award in London, Becky Yeates of Skills for Security commented "It was really exciting to be presented with the award in front of 800 people, and to realise that the work we do every day is recognised and appreciated around the country."  Becky was selected to represent the company because of her commitment to upholding its values of integrity, excellence, expertise and ambition.
