The first day of IFSEC, 16th May saw the launch of the 100 in 100 campaign for the security systems sector. This new initiative, to find 100 new apprenticeship places in 100 days, was the result of collaboration between Skills for Security and CSL DualCom with the full support of the BSIA, NSI and SSAIB, plus UBM as media partners. It was aligned with the Engineers of Tomorrow apprentice skills challenge which takes place at IFSEC each year.

Employers have been encouraged to take on apprentices, not only for security and fire systems installation, but also for office roles such as business administration and customer service.

This is the first time an industry-led 100 in 100 campaign has been tried, so security companies are leading the way to encourage enthusiastic young people to join the sector. Please click here for more information and see Info4Security for a full report on the launch.
