National Apprenticeship Awards 2010 celebrates apprentices and their employers throughout England
The National Apprenticeship Awards will once again be celebrating the nation's star apprentices and apprentice employers with its national Awards ceremony in London. The Awards, organised by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), are designed to honour the achievements of apprentices of all ages and to commend those businesses which have made strong commitments to Apprenticeships through their training programmes. This year's ceremony will be particularly special with Tim Campbell and Clare Young, formerly of the BBC's The Apprentice, hosting the Apprenticeship Awards 2010.
The national ceremony will be taking place at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge on 15 July, and will see a wide range of apprentices and employers from the different industry sectors come together in the hope of picking up an award. This year's nominees have been picked from thousands of entries to stand in eight different categories ranging from Young Apprentice of the Year to Macro Employer of the Year, proving that Apprenticeship programmes are more popular than ever. Regional events are currently taking place around the country and the lucky winners will then go through to the judging panel to find the national finalists.
With apprentices playing a vital role within the national economy, the Awards signify an important night, not just for those nominated, but for all businesses and training providers involved in facilitating successful Apprenticeship programmes.

Chris Jones, Director General and CEO of City & Guilds Group said:
