Jorgen Philip-Sorensen CBE, MA, died on Monday 18th January 2010, in Switzerland, aged 71.
Skills for Security's, Chief Executive, David Greer said "Philip Sorensen was an outstanding leader of the security industry and was responsible for creating numerous industry standards over many decades. His dedication to training and development of his staff never waned and serves as an example to us all. Here at Skills for Security, we owe Philip an enormous amount of gratitude, as he was the benefactor of the Sorensen Centre, which is going from strength to strength in providing excellent training services and facilities, a quality in which he so richly believed in.
Philip will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues, and on behalf of Skills for Security, I would like offer our sincere sympathy and condolences to both his family and friends during this difficult time."
